As an Assistant Video Producer for Zula, I was involved in pre-production, filming, and post-production videos for both Zula's Youtube channel and Facebook page. My roles included: ideation and pitching of videos, storyboarding and casting for suitable talents, filming, and editing the video independently before publishing it to Zula's respective social media channels. Feel free to watch all the videos I produced down below!

Marrying My Secondary School Crush | ZULA Perspectives | EP 7
Description
Many people don't believe that "puppy love" lasts, but we all love to hear a good "happily ever after" story. In this video, we interviewed 3 couples who have been dating since secondary school and are now engaged/married to share how their relationships have developed over the last 10+ years. This video showcased the cute school love stories that each couple experienced, and the couples gave advice on how they managed to stay in love for more than 10 years. This was my first video at Zula and I was grateful that it did extremely well on Facebook and Youtube as it gave me motivation to work harder for my subsequent videos.

Description
In this video, we interviewed Denise and Shaun, a young couple who met when they were 14 by getting ‘married’ in the online game Audition. 12 years later, they have moved on from gaming to starting a cheer team together. This video was met with positive feedback on both Youtube and Facebook, mainly due to the nostalgia that video games like Audition and video game couples brought to the viewers.

Sending A Quiz To Every Boy I've Had A Crush On | ZULA Tries | EP 37
Description
In this video, I invited my good friend Brenda to show other girls that it's okay to take initiative and confess her feelings to guys she's had a crush on in the past - via Google Forms. This video was especially special to me as I conceptualised the video and had creative control over the video from start to end, I was glad that it was met with positive feedback from the viewers as no content creator in Singapore had done a similar video before.
Role
Video producer, videographer, video editor

How To Survive As A Couple Working From Home 24/7 | ZULA Perspectives | EP 14
Description
During the circuit breaker period, we tried to adapt our content towards this new normal and I was able to interview 3 couples who were living together on their work-from-home situation with their partners. This video is a light-hearted one to showcase the various funny antics that couples can discover about each other while staying at home 24/7, but also gives insight to how to maintain long-lasting relationships with your significant other.

Styling $10 Pieces From Shopee | ZULA Altered | EP 9
Description
With more people choosing online shopping instead of retail stores during this COVID-19 period, we tasked our Zula host, Leah, to try and shop for cute outfits at a low budget of $10 on popular e-commerce site Shopee. This video was my first brush at doing a fashion-related video, and I had a fun time learning how to make look books to showcase the fashion outfits that Leah selected.
Role
Videographer, video editor

Millennials Open The Box Of Memories From Their Exes | ZULA Perspectives | EP 15
Description
In this video, our host Leah invited some of her friends to unlock some memories of their past relationships by sharing with her their box of memories from their exes. This video was a new challenge for me as I conceptualised a "video call" format for the graphics, and tried to make them as realistic as possible to give viewers the feeling of being on a virtual call along with them. I was very pleased with the way it turned out and hope the viewers enjoyed this style of video.

Letting My Dad Buy My Outfits | ZULA Tries | EP 36
Description
Shopping for yourself is great, but why not get your own father to shop for you? For this video, one of our hosts Chow challenges her father to see if he can select outfits from online stores that would suit Chow's taste. This was my first video where I worked with a client and also had to coordinate with online stores and the talents. I received positive feedback on the video from the client despite the short turnaround time, so I was definitely proud of this piece.

Skinny Girls Share Their Body Image Struggles | ZULA Perspectives | EP 9
Description
Everyone knows about fat shaming, but what about skinny shaming? In this video, we interviewed 6 girls who are deemed 'too skinny' by society to talk about their experiences and share what advice they have on loving their bodies as they are. This video was important to me as I felt it sent an important message not to judge one another solely based on their body type or shape, as we don't know what someone else is struggling with behind closed doors.

ITE Means It's The End? | ZULA ChickChats | EP 94
Description
In the well-known Zula segment 'Zula Chickchats', our host Leah invites 3 special guests who graduated from ITE and are working professionals to talk about their experiences and pass down some advice to other ITE students/those contemplating whether to enrol in ITE. This was an important video as I felt that many people still had misconceived notions about ITE students, so this video was a good way to debunk these myths and shed a better light on ITE students.
