During my time as a Communications and New Media student at the National University of Singapore, I was also able to gain experience in producing news and short documentaries, which led me to fall in love with creating videos to tell people's stories. I'm very proud of these pieces that I had a part in creating and I hope you enjoy them as well.
Balik Kampung: The Story of Singapore's Community Spirit
Description
Singapore has come a long way in terms of urban redevelopment. As our society went forward, we left our kampung days behind. Even though we have lost the tangible memories of those nostalgic times, we may have some remnants of it: the kampung spirit. What does it take to make sure that this spirit lives on? In this short documentary, we interview experts on the topic, and listened to their stories with the hope that we might glean inspiration and create our version of a kampung spirit. This short documentary was extremely challenging but we managed to explore how the kampung spirit can still live on inside of us, even after the last kampung is gone.

Improving Singapore's Food Security: Urban Farming
Description
This video was create to shed light on the problems of food security in Singapore which many might not be aware of, and introduces how citizens of the Little Red Dot have utilised technological advancements to overcome the country’s spatial limitations. We speak to experts to gain insight into how the local farming industry is opening its doors to include sustainable farming. This was another interesting topic that I felt should be discussed among Singaporeans, especially with Singapore's scarce resources. I was glad to have the chance to explore different ways to improve Singapore's food security.

Voxpop on Ethical Consumerism by NUS CNM
Description
With the increase in purchasing power by many young Singaporeans, we headed over to the NUS greens to interview students on what their thoughts are about ethical consumerism and how we can protect our workers, environment and animals. This video was my first experience doing a Voxpop and interviewing people on the street. I had a great experience learning about people's candid opinions about this topic.
